It felt as if the neoclassic Arc de Triomphe metamorphosed after a deep sleep sunk by Napoleon over 180 years ago into a venerable goddess. And then, all of a sudden, rigorously ‘wrapped’ in her silver blue antic dress and tied up with a powerful red ribbon, she seemed to free the place de l’Etoile and radiated this emblematic public space unrestrained for the Parisian civil pedestrian.
