A short lecture about retail design during the first Fashion Management Summer Program at HEC Paris, French business school specialized in education and research in management sciences.
The purpose of the class – design retail – was to expose participants to the importance of retail experience through design. Business constraints were combined with architectural and design necessities and the tension and paradoxes between the two were explained. The participants’ attention was driven on of what makes an experience in retail, in a shopping environment when products are premium, fashion or high-end ones.
