Supported by a distinguished jury and leading partners from the worlds of fashion, luxury, art, and photography, the PICTO Fashion Photography Award has grown into an internationally recognized platform for emerging talent since opening to global candidates in 2013. Key developments include partnerships with the Palais Galliera in 2017 and le19M in 2020, which introduced prestigious new distinctions celebrating creativity and craftsmanship. Since 2024, LGA Management and JANVIER Digital Photographic Lab. have further expanded the award’s support. Today, the PICTO Fashion Photography Award presents four distinct awards, reflecting its enduring commitment to nurturing new creative voices and responding to the evolving realities of contemporary fashion photography.
This year’s jury was chaired by acclaimed visual artist Valérie Belin, joined by renowned figures from the worlds of photography and culture, including Paolo Roversi, Sylvie Lécallier (Palais Galliera), and Nikandre Koukoulioti (Magnum Photos).
Marie Blampain won this year’s Grand Prix Picto de la Photographie de Mode for Fortuitous Witness. Based in Mexico, the photographer is recognized for her refined studio work, using minimalist imagery to explore themes of the body, memory, and perception.
La Chapelle is a series of 50 analog photographs made between 2023 and 2025 on a Paris metro platform by Cassandre Lafont. Combining documentary and staged imagery, the project explores the material presence of clothing while reflecting the contrast between the artist’s work with luxury fashion brands and everyday life in a working-class neighborhood. The series was exhibited at TATI in 2025 and is currently being developed into a book through the Wise Woman Mentorship 2026. Her work was recognized with the Second Prize of the Photographie des Métiers d’Art le19M award.
And then there is Jérémie Monnier, a French photographer whose work combines documentary observation with a refined fashion-inspired aesthetic. His series Teenage Portraits documents students at Évariste Galois Middle School in Breteuil-sur-Iton, a remote village in Normandy. Drawing on his personal ties to the region, Monnier depicts a generation shaped by rural isolation, distance, and socioeconomic constraints through intimate portraits and everyday school scenes. The visual language of the project, reflecting on youth and identity, is deeply moving and authentic.
