The brought up idea of renewal or re-evaluation inherits per se the action of assessing the value of something again. When it comes to Wooyoungmi and her SS2023 collection it seems deficient to me to appraise only her tailoring talent and/or her ability to detect a contemporary way of dressing.
I would rather put forth her attitude and a particular savoir-être. As a female menswear designer and as an eponymous brand. Economic independency, focused determination, dynamic rhythm and an elegant ego without being big-headed form a brilliant and free identity. Indispensable in fashion which is supposed to breathe culture.
