today’s inspiration_Paris Photo 2025_Grand Palais_Paris_France

Without collectors, art fairs would not exist. Photography is about to celebrate its bicentennial.
The 28th Paris Photo provides the opportunity to discover collections through succinct presentations, some recurring from one year to the next, some bringing together photographs from a larger group – galleries, institutions, editors – all devoted to contemporary art. Sorting, displaying, contextualizing, commenting, appreciating and asking questions … The French event has become unique in its focus on collections.
In this rich and luxuriant 28th edition that joyfully projects itself into all periods, the 24 works brought together above, some of which are from the world’s most esteemed photographers and galleries, investigate visibility, beauty, identity and feminine memory. They also serve as a reminder that the photographic image is never univocal but composed of visible and invisible layers, which are replayed with each glance. The physic, representative and the mental level, they all constitute the visual grammar that illuminates the meaning of a photograph.
A curated selection of infinite delicacy, where the visual perception is transformed into a poetic experience, an inspiration that encourage us to shift our perspective and reinvent our way of seeing.
